Rain of Seasons in April.

The “Pepe Camejo” Room, located in Ayuntamiento Street between Medio and Milanés in Matanzas city, hosts various activities this month in greeting the 25th anniversary of Teatro de las Estaciones.

Under the slogan 25 YEARS OF PUPILS FOR ALL, Rubén Darío Salazar’s troop begins this season “Children in Las Estaciones III”, where the show “The girl who waters the basil and the Prince inquisitive.”

Estaciones unveils a plaque in homage to the 200 performances that this theatrical work that has been presented since the creation of the group in 1994.

“A girl with wings” will be presented on Saturdays 20 and 27 and Sundays 21 and 28 at eleven in the morning of the current month in the grounds of the “Pepe Camejo” for all the little lovers of puppetry art.

The zero edition of the “International Open Altarpiece Meeting” (EIRA) is part of the April festivities for the 25th anniversary of “Teatro de las Estaciones”. This meeting takes place throughout the week and will end on Saturday the 13th.

EIRA or “Open Altar International Meeting” is an event dedicated to the theater of documentary objects. This event conceived by Matanzas actors raises the level of specialization of our theater, not only in the local and national geography, but also goes beyond the borders of theater in Cuba.

Rubén Darío Salazar, specified that it has an added value, because the theater of documentary objects constitutes a marked international trend.

Groups from different countries such as Spain, Ecuador, Chile, Mexico and Cuba will participate in a compendium of tasks during the event that include a theatrical laboratory, theoretical meetings and samples of scenography designs and photographs that document the history of scenic art in Matanzas, Cuba and the world.

The monthly day of this celebration for the 25 years of “Stations” will close with an international tour of the group by the Aztec country. In the city of Puebla, they will share experiences in universities, schools and museums. In addition they will make several presentations, workshops and conferences throughout the Mexican geography.

Throughout the year “Estaciones” will maintain a program of activities that complement the celebrations for its 25th anniversary of creation.
