President of Senegal sent congratulatory message to Cuban president (+ recording and video).

The president of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, sent a cordial message of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, wishing well-being and growing prosperity to the Cuban people.

In the letter, the African leader reaffirmed the willingness to work together in the consolidation of the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, the Cuban Ambassador in that nation Saylin Sánchez Portero informed Radio 26.

The diplomat said that the hug of the people of Cuba to that of Senegal was also transmitted.

“This exchange of good wishes and willingness as early as this 2020 predicts a profitable year in bilateral ties and in the realization of issues of mutual interest in which we have been working as health”

Cuba and Senegal celebrated 45 years of diplomatic relations on August 9th. Both nations unite historical and cultural relations, declared Sánchez Portero.

 Scientific cooperation between both nations Between both countries, the relations in the field of scientific-technical cooperation through the ACEPT-MAB project stand out with the collaboration of the Matanzas researcher and Master in Science Yuván Contino Esquijerosa, of the Experimental Station of Pastures and Forages “Indio Hatuey”.

According to the specialist, the objective of the project is to adapt to local resources, characterize and evaluate the efficiency of beneficial indigenous microorganisms in a peasant environment.

“The scientific technical stays were coordinated by Dr. Paula Fernández of the Center for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research for Development (CIRAD). In my visits people come to me because they want to know the history of Cuba, and they have as reference Fidel, Che and Raúl ”.

The innovation guarantees the investigation in the indigenous forest material of beneficial microorganisms, and the use of these as agro-ecological practices to improve the productivity in agriculture, the conservation and protection of the local vegetable crops and the quality of the soils.

In 2017, the Experimental Grass and Forage Station “Indio Hatuey” also developed the joint AUTOMAR project that strengthened relations with the CIRAD of the African nation.
