
A representation of the more than 24 thousand men and women of the Matanzas Public Health celebrated this December 3rd at the Sauto theater of the Athens of Cuba the Day of Latin American Medicine.
The political-cultural event was attended by Milagros de la Caridad Pérez Caballero, member of the National Secretariat of the Cuban Trade Workers Union (CTC), the main authorities of the Party and the Government in Matanzas and other leaders of different organizations in the territory.
At the meeting, the 40 most outstanding workers of the primary care of the Yumurina Public Health were stimulated, as well as the two basic work groups that best fulfilled their task during this 2020.

They also recognized the services, polyclinics, family medical offices and hospitals with the best results in their work.
For their response and total dedication to the covid-19 confrontation, the five territorial bases of the Integrated Medical Emergency System (SIUM) of the province were also distinguished at the appointment.
Similarly, the applause was extensive for the 10 Matanzas brigades belonging to the Henry Reeve International Contingent that save lives in sister countries.

Executives of the health sector of the province took the opportunity to present awards to 16 organizations and entities that collaborated in the face of the challenge imposed by the new coronavirus.
