The challenge: effectiveness at work to reduce infections .

The poor quality of the investigations carried out, especially the groups most prone to contracting covid-19, transpired in the Provincial Defense Council (CDP) of Matanzas this Monday, chaired by Liván Izquierdo Alonso.

The meeting insisted on the need to reduce the time between the first symptoms and the isolation or admission of patients, at which time there should be no oversights and protocol violations. To date, in Matanzas territory there are no pregnant women infected with the pandemic and the six children who suffer from the new coronavirus continue with a stable evolution.

Mario Sabines Lorenzo, governor of Matanzas, called on health personnel to be more thorough in each case studied and prevent people with respiratory symptoms from staying home. Similarly, Izquierdo Alonso urged the groups to confront illegalities in each municipality to act with greater efficiency and promptness in the face of the population’s proposals, related to the monetary reordering and the treatment of covid.

Likewise, the call for the responsibility of parents to take care of the health of their children was reiterated; Children and adolescents are still observed in the streets, an issue that will continue to be controlled by the relevant authorities. The challenge this week is to seek greater effectiveness in daily work to reduce the incidence of infections, eliminate transmission and be able to transition to the new normal, Izquierdo Alonso concluded.
