The Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport is ready to receive flights from Russia, José Antonio García Manso, director of this air terminal, the second most important in the country, told Radio 26.

The charter company Azur Air will arrive on April 18th, at 6:30 am, with a flight that will link the international airports of Moscow-Domodedovo and Juan Gualberto Gómez, by the hand of the tour operator Anex Tours.

Royal Flight and Nordwind are the other two airlines from Russia included in the April flight schedule, as reported on the Varadero International Airport Facebook page.

Thanks to the reestablishment of this operation, visitors to the Eurasian nation will return to the main Cuban enclave of sun and beach, their preferred leisure destination in the Greater Antilles, from where they have been absent for more than a year, due to the COVID-19.
