In order to analyze deficiencies and strengths to improve the cooperative sector, representatives of these productive forms in this municipality participated this Thursday in Pedro Betancourt municipal workshop that was held simultaneously in each territory of the province.
Gathered in the municipal House of Culture and divided into four commissions, the participants agreed on actions related to the solution of defaults, preparation of personnel, promotion of livestock, as well as the creation or expansion of livestock modules.
The workshop closes a period of analysis as part of the systematic checking of the ordering task carried out by the working group to rescue, strengthen and consolidate the results of the twelve cooperatives in the municipality.
Regarding the new program of tasks to be fulfilled in the territory, Alberto Luis Montes de Oca, municipal delegate for Agriculture, highlighted priorities such as the delivery of cheese, the creation of a mini-industry and the use of organic fertilizers and biological means.
“The use of animal traction and the sowing of animal feed is essential. Only a true integration between the actors involved will allow not only to reverse the current situation of agricultural cooperatives, but also to make future projections ”, he added.
Before concluding, Gladys Rodríguez López, municipal mayor, highlighted the importance of the new measures approved in response to the concerns of the producers, in addition to the need to seek points of economic balance, analyze production plans and supply the town.
The meeting was chaired by Alberto González Amaya, official of the Provincial Committee of the Party; Heriberto Pérez Infante, from the Ministry of Agriculture; Jorge Luis Cabrera, representing the ANAP, among other authorities of the province and the municipality .
