The Matanzas Provincial Prosecutor’s Office celebrated Legal Worker’s Day with an act of inauguration of their positions as prosecutors, which welcomed four young people recently incorporated into these functions as guarantors of socialist legality in Cuban society.
The ceremony for the investiture of the gowns to the new professionals was conducive to reading the congratulatory letter that on the occasion of June 8th, the Attorney General of the Republic Yamila Peña Ojeda sent to the workers of the legal institution.
The newly admitted prosecutors Mairena Rivero Legrá, Yasaris Quiñones Herrera, Jimmy Ramos Fernández and Yuniel Machado Aragón signed their commitments by signing the Code of Ethics in the presence of the Board of Directors and a representation of the entity’s workers, and other guests to the act, among them, the highest representatives of the judicial system and the rest of the legal institutions of the territory.
The appointment was also an opportune space for the delivery of recognitions to a group of jurists and assistant personnel of the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office for their active and outstanding work in the period, as well as two workers received the card that accredits them as militants of the Cuba Communist Party.
A special treat was also received by the group of the Matanzas Prosecutor’s Office by the Party Provincial Committee of t and the Provincial Coordination of the Revolution Defense Committees (CDR), an organization that announced the future delivery of the Neighborhood Award to the Matanzas’s institution , which stands out for its tireless work against corruption and indiscipline and for the legal protection it offers to citizens.
Daysi Ramírez Naranjo, Chief Prosecutor of Matanzas, offered Radio 26 his assessments of the activities carried out during the day of tribute to jurists and the importance of this event.
“Despite the limitations imposed by the pandemic, we have celebrated our day with various actions. Among the most important, the study and promotion of the legislative projects presented by the Supreme Court to the Cuban Parliament for the sake of its next approval and entry into force stands out and this type of act is always essential for the Prosecutor’s Office, to welcome a new batch of young people, committed to defending legality, responsible, suitable and committed to carrying out the work of the Revolution ”.
The act of the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in greeting to the Legal Worker’s Day was enlivened with several cultural presentations, among them, the successful performance of the famous Matanzas folk singers Orismay Hernández and Ricardo González.
