Likewise, the province has received concrete help from renowned artists. It is worth mentioning a donation from the painter and sculptor Alexis Leyva Machado (Kacho) for the “27 de Noviembre” Isolation Center that functions as an extension of the Pediatric hospital and the Canimao. The artist delivered the donation and painted the little ones who looked at him dazzled.
In a meeting with the Temporary Group to Confront Covid, chaired by Liván Izquierdo Alonso, first secretary of the Party and the Governor, Mario Felipe Sabines Lorenzo, with the presence of the country’s authorities, Kacho stated:
“The most wonderful work of art is the Cuban Revolution, I belong to the Revolution and I owe myself to it.” And he added: “I am here representing the project and making a donation, but if what we have to do is go to an isolation center, count on me, you know how to find me.”
Any show of support is valuable and necessary, we are living through a difficult situation and love, unity and respect for our revolutionary and humanist convictions will allow us to overcome the Pandemic and the difficulties that arise on the way to a better future.
