The administrative health authorities of Matanzas do not use the tools of the opinion of the people, said Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, deputy prime minister of Cuba at the meeting of the Temporary Working Group last day.
This situation means that difficulties persist and dissatisfaction is maintained since sixty percent of the proposals are related to Public Health, said the leader.
It is true that men and women in white coats work ceaselessly to confront this pandemic, but it is necessary to gain in organization and control of the processes in order to respond to each and every one of the difficulties related to the system to avoid human losses.
The main deficiency is the delay in the collection and transfer of positive patients to isolation centers, a mechanism that allows timely care that avoids major complications.
It is important to highlight that despite the fact that home entry is included in the new action protocols, in Matanzas there is availability of beds to assist those infected and they must move to those places. No one should stay at home, it is proven that the highest number of deaths in recent days responds to the late arrival of the people who remained at home.
Ailuj Casanoba Barreto, provincial director of Health, pointed out that difficulties persist with conducting investigations, as well as the completion of staff in the family doctor’s and nurse’s offices. Work is being done on both issues and alternatives are being sought for the location of professionals in these sites that ensure primary care and control, above all, the most vulnerable.
Liván Izquierdo Alonso, first secretary of the PCC in Matanzas told the authorities of each municipality that the non-compliance and lack of control that is still evident in the territories has to stop and steer its course towards the definitive solution of the problems.
