The Matanzas Universal Company receives and quickly transfers to the hospital institutions the donations that legal and natural persons sent to the province, current epicenter of the Covid-19 pandemic in Cuba.
According to Laura Ivette Morejón, director of organization and control of the entity, it works so that the supplies reach their destination.
“We continue to receive resources donated by institutions and supportive people from all over the country that are distributed to hospitalized and isolated patients. We also receive much-needed supplies sent to us by the top management of the country and by our agency for the care of the new centers that are opened in the face of the increase in the pandemic peak in the province.
“It is not that Cuba has many resources, it is that once again it shows that Matanzas is not alone.”
Medical supplies for hospitals, cleaning, groceries, clothing and masks, among others, make up the list of donations that today arrive at the isolation centers of the city of Matanzas and other municipalities such as Jovellanos and Unión de Reyes.
Likewise, the entity received disinfection resources that were delivered to the Hygiene and Epidemiology Center of the province.
The workers of Matanzas Universal Company have proven their worth in the current epidemiological context as they guarantee the delivery of hygiene products in the warehouses and today they distribute the donations in hospital institutions.
