With the aim of exchanging experiences on the work of organizations and entities with youth in the agricultural field, the Youth and Agroecology for Food and Nutrition Sovereignty workshop will be held online on October 12th.
Convened by the Group of Young Agroecologists of the Cuban Association of Agricultural and Forestry Technicians , the National Association of Small Farmers and the Center for Youth Studies , the initiative is part of the II Biodiversity Fair Virtual University of Camagüey and is part of the actions promoted by the Food and Nutrition Security Plan .
It is also sponsored by the FIRST (Food Security and Nutrition, Impact, Sustainability and Transformation) program of the alliance between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the European Union .
According to Yuvan Contino Esquijerosa, a young Matanzas agroecologist, the workshop seeks to socialize actions and results of organizations and entities in their care, orientation and encouragement to improve their contributions to agroecological food production from the youth.
Also in this space, the ties between the organizations and entities that contribute to the work with the newcomers will be strengthened.
