Náthaly Hernández Chávez was the guest at La hora de Aldabón

La hora de Aldabón arrives again at the editorial of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Matanzas, after months of inactivity due to the epidemiological situation.

The monthly space promotes the work of young writers from the patio linked to the publisher, based in the historic center of the city.

On this occasion Náthaly Hernández Chávez, writer, journalist and promoter of the publishing house, was invited to the meeting.

“ Aldabón Editions has been a family for me, says the also university professor. During these years I have felt very comfortable and I have been able to promote the work of the young people who write, who were trained together with me. It is a great honor and a huge responsibility. “

Nathaly Hernández will soon publish her collection of poems La hora violenta, currently in the process of being edited. Although she always has poetry in mind in her work, she also dabbles in narrative.

Eddy Alonso Hernández, municipal director of Culture, gave a recognition to the young promise.

Some awards endorse her short, but fruitful literary career. She recently won the David Prize in the Science Fiction category, sponsored by UNEAC for unpublished authors.

“The David award came as a great surprise. I had been trying my poems for years, but I decided to present myself with my science fiction stories, since I am deeply attracted to the genre and have cultivated it during this last stage. It was difficult for me to process that I had won, it was a gift, “the 26-year-old girl smiles.

During the evening, Náthaly delighted the people  present with some of her poetic works and the work of the young artists who are members of the Hermanos Saíz Association was discussed. The guest also received recognition from the Municipal Directorate of Culture.

La hora de Aldabón, a gathering led by Daniel Alberto Cruz, also a writer and coordinator of the youth publisher in Matanzas, was part of the day for the 35 years of the AHS and the 328th anniversary of the City of Bridges .
