Advocacy from Matanzas for a better Family Medicine (+photos).

About 20 delegates will represent the province of Matanzas at the 2nd and 3rd Virtual and National Congresses of Family Medicine, to be held at Havana’s Convention Palace from Nov. 1st to 3rd.

María Mercedes Aldama Oviedo, assistant professor and master in medical emergencies at the «Dr. Cesáreo Sánchez» polyclinic in the municipality of Pedro Betancourt, who is part of the Yumurina delegation, shared with our radio station the potential of this event to improve the quality of medical services in the locality and the province.

Under the slogan «40 years of achievements, challenges and challenges of Family Medicine in Cuba, for the achievement of universal health» and under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Health and other national and international organizations, the conclave advocates for the improvement of community medical care, as well as for the in-depth analysis of the progress, results and problems of family medicine both on the Island and in the rest of the world.
