Awards and mentions of the scientific event «El Anaquel»..

The awards of the 19th scientific event «El Anaquel» went to two contrasting researches in time: «Autopsia del paraíso y el teatro para adolescentes», by Anthony Bernal Ruesca, from Teatro Icarón, and «Daniel All’Aglio, arquitecto cubano», by Amarilys Ribot, a specialist from Teatro Sauto.

The jury, which met at the Casa de la Memoria Escénica, was made up of Mireya Cabrera Galán, Dr. Oscar Piñera Hernández and the National Publishing Award winner, Alfredo Zaldívar, who considered that the first paper appreciated the practical usefulness and empirical skills shown by the author, together with the clarity and coherence in the presentation of the results of the work applied to the theatrical work.

In the second, the importance of recognizing a figure of national relevance due to the validity of his patrimonial work, the abundance and diversity of the sources consulted and the critical nature of the study on the Italian artist who built the Yumurino coliseum were highlighted.

Two mentions were also awarded to the papers «Entre bambalinas. Cosas que pasan en el teatro», by Norge Céspedes; «El Edén de Adán», by Ayose García and «La Casa de la Memoria Escénica y la librería España», by Eugenio Vicedo and Libia María León.

Present at the event were Osbel Marrero, provincial director of Culture, and the directors Pedro Rodríguez, from the Provincial Council of Performing Arts and Efrahím Pérez, from the Provincial Center of Books and Literature.

In general, the quality of the twelve works presented in this meeting «El Anaquel», dedicated to the 160 years of the Sauto Theater (MN), 45 years of Matanzas editions and 60 years of life of Rubén Darío Salazar, as stressed Ulises Rodríguez Febles, director of the host institution, and emphasized the values that the researches contribute to the knowledge of the Cuban theatrical movement from a conceptual and scientific vision.
