Food Industry Workers’ Day celebrated in Matanzas.

With the commitment to achieve greater productive results, promote innovative activity, savings, protection of resources and encourage work to ensure quality and efficiency, the workers of the Food Industry in Matanzas celebrated their day on January 25th.

Empresa Cárnica de Matanzas, winner of the venue for the celebration, selected the Basic Business Unit (UEB) Ciro Redondo, in the municipality of Jovellanos, as the host to celebrate the central provincial event, taking into account the relevant results achieved by this UEB.

The meeting presided over by the Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Deputy to the National Assembly of People’s Power and First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Matanzas, Susely Morfa González, together with the main authorities of the territory, headquarters of this strategic sector in the province, became an appropriate occasion to recognize workers with the Pedro Marrero Aizpurúa Distinction on behalf of the National Union and the Provincial Bureau of the Workers of the Food and Fishing Industry, for their uninterrupted link for 20 and 25 years with the sector.

Likewise, several union leaders, as well as labor collectives, received the 85th Anniversary Recognition of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (Cuban Workers’ Central), and the UEB Ciro Redondo headquarters center was especially honored for its comprehensive results during 2023.

This celebration did not miss the recognition on behalf of the people of Matanzas to the workers of the Food Industry and Fishing sector on the occasion of the commemoration of their 53rd anniversary of creation.
