Heritage books at the Matanzas Fair (+photos).

As part of the activities of the 32nd edition of the International Book Fair, which began today in the city of Matanzas, an exhibition of patrimonial books was inaugurated at the Pharmaceutical Museum of Matanzas.

In the exhibition are exhibited ancient copies such as «Poesías de Plácido», by Gabriel de la Concepción Valdés; «Aguinaldo», by Luisa Molina, published in 1857.

Also on display are titles by Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda, Adalio Scola and Fermín Valdés Domínguez.

In collaboration with the Gener y del Monte Provincial Library and the Historical Archive of Matanzas, together with the Palacio de Junco Provincial Museum, the Pharmaceutical Museum exhibits for the first time books of high patrimonial value in a Book Fair.

The exhibition is also part of the activities in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the institution, to be celebrated next May.
