In an effort to strengthen early childhood education, officials from the Provincial Directorate of Education held a training session for the municipal education staff in Jovellanos. The meeting focused on analyzing and refining strategies for vocational training, career guidance, and preparing children and adolescents for teaching careers.
During the session, key topics were addressed, including the early identification of teaching vocations, personalized support for students with potential and interest in teaching, and the design of activities that foster a love for teaching from primary school onward.
The need to strengthen the bond between school, family, and community as fundamental pillars in building professional life plans was also emphasized.
Participants agreed on the importance of updating career guidance methods, incorporating more dynamic, inclusive, and contextualized approaches that respond to the realities of the region and the aspirations of new generations. They also shared best practices and successful experiences from other municipalities that have increased enrollment in teacher training programs.
This training is part of the Ministry of Education’s national strategy to ensure the continuity of generational renewal in the teaching sector, guaranteeing that every classroom has committed, well-prepared educators with a strong vocation for service.
