Benefiting from an irrigation system using solar panels, the La Esperanza farm located in the La Isabel community of said municipality, increases its agricultural production.
Managed by producer Marisel Gómez Borges and her family, this system allows the irrigation of one hectare of vegetables in open fields, guaranteeing greater efficiency in water use and stability in the crops.
The products reflect the commitment of the farming family to local food security, by taking advantage of clean technologies that allow them to sustain agricultural activity under more favorable conditions.
The experience of Finca La Esperanza confirms that the combination of innovation and community work is capable of strengthening food production in Jovellanos, through the implementation of practical and sustainable solutions for the development of the territory.
