The deputy minister praised the responsibility of the Palmares group in the task of rescuing the gastronomic cultural wealth that has been somewhat displaced over time by international standards, and to offer an increasing number of products and services that meet the needs of the people.
Jorge Luis Acosta Paula, general director of the Grupo extrahotelero Palmares, president of the organizing committee of the event, commented that the number of stands of the current edition exceeds the previous one, and the event has an important presence of non-state actors of the economy.
Highlighting the benefits of local food is one of the objectives of the event, which is committed to the implementation of science and innovation, in order to make better use of local resources and reduce dependence on imports.
