After thirteen years of absence, the National Festival of Cuban Radio returns to the city of Holguin with a theoretical program in its first work session that foresees the exchange with the National Radio Prizes, Andres Manuel Mazorra and Jose Gabriel Ramirez, about the emergence of the first radio stations in the West and Center of the country.
The topics to be discussed in the inaugural session refer to the recipients and listeners of radio; production routines; the sound environment; and musical culture and broadcasting.
The National Radio Festival, which will be held in Holguin until November 18th, will be attended by more than a hundred radio workers and 600 works of filmmakers from all over the country.
The awards gala will be held on Thursday night and will award the prizes in the specialties in competition and seven Grand Prizes of the edition in eastern Cuba.
The province of Matanzas submitted 39 works for the Jury’s consideration in its sections with a wide diversity of proposals including news, dramatized and musicals, as well as Internet production.
