Extra cash is consolidated in Matanzas.
In the province of Matanzas 1,700 establishments provide the extra cash service and the municipalities with the largest number of inserted markets are Matanzas, Cárdenas, Colón and Jagüey Grande.
According to Aylín Lozano, communicator of the Bank of Credit and Commerce (BANDEC), the increase in non-state management forms stands out, since today 18 MSMEs, one local development project, four self-employed workers and two non-agricultural cooperatives provide the service.
In addition to this, there is the experience of telephone agents, an initiative of the Cuban Telecommunications Company so that people can also acquire cash.
And it is precisely through the extra cash office that up to five thousand Cuban pesos can be withdrawn in a daily operation in entities through the use of the options of the ENZONA or Transfermóvil platforms, depending on the cash available in the entity.
At the end of 2023, the province of Matanzas had more than 66 thousand operations through this channel, making it the second in the country in terms of its use.
