Pedro Betancourt celebrates 85th anniversary of the CTC.

Jaime López Secada Voluntary Sports Council of PedroBetancourt territory hosted the municipal ceremony for the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Cuban Workers’ Central Union (CTC).

At the meeting, several outstanding trade union groups were recognized for their work, commitment and contributions to the economic and social development of the town.

Damaris Gonzalez Perez, secretary general of the CTC in the town, pondered in the central words the achievements of the organization throughout its history and the challenges it still faces today, as well as the importance of strengthening unity in the labor field, based on the principles of solidarity, justice, responsibility and equity.

The event was a special occasion to celebrate the organization’s trajectory and impact, as well as to extol the indispensable role of workers in building a more prosperous and sustainable society.
