Matanzas sport celebrates the 330th anniversary of the city of Matanzas.

An exhibition of sports and athletic modalities practiced in the Yumurino territory celebrated the 330th anniversary of the founding of the city of Matanzas.

The day began with a cycling tour through the streets of the city, from Peñas Altas to the central Libertad Park, where young students of the Luis Augusto Turcios Lima School of Sports Initiation and sports teams gathered.

Power, skill and ability were combined by the novice athletes in judo, wrestling, athletics, skating and weightlifting. Other traditional disciplines such as gymnastics, baseball, field hockey, karate, volleyball and basketball were also present.

Matanzas sports are celebrating the city’s birthday with a wide range of events, including the impact of physical activity on the community and high performance.
