The Gustavo Gonzalez Perez Museum of the territory dedicated its current Sample of the Month to the journalistic work inPedro Betancourt municipality and its main protagonists.
The event became an opportunity to extol the historical trajectory of the Betancoureña press through the teachings of historian Julián Rogelio Álvarez López, as well as to learn about the meaning of journalism for those who are spokespersons of information in the locality.
Nereida Caridad Cárdenas Pumariega, communicator of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power and former radio correspondent of the territory, expressed her passion for teaching, research and, especially, for the universe of sound.
Likewise, Lianet Fundora Armas, journalist of Editora Girón, communicated her experiences from the flat press, as well as her love and dedication to journalism.
The event was also attended by various personalities of science, culture, education and students from the José Antonio Echeverría and Augusto César Sandino elementary schools and the Leonor Pérez Cabrera polytechnic center, among other guests.
