A Summer with Love from Popular Camping.

The five facilities of Popular Camping are ready to provide services during this Summer with love, Rodelay Ortega González, director of the provincial company of this popular leisure activity, told Radio 26.

As a result of an investment process, those who bet on this variant for summer vacations will be able to enjoy the comfort of the 58 rooms made available to the clients in Bacunayagua, Faro de Maya, Canímar Abajo, Río Canímar and Río San Juan.

The available accommodations were favored with a change of image and optimization in areas such as bathrooms and in systems such as hydraulic and electrical networks, just to mention some of the constructive actions deployed, Ortega González said.

In spite of the good news about the quality standards of the 58 rooms, the Provincial Camping Company will see its occupancy capacity limited due to the 65 rooms out of order because they are undergoing maintenance, more than half of its physical plant.

Ortega Gonzalez announced the possibility of ensuring the transportation of campers with School Buses, although the definitive solution to this logistics, fundamental to ensure the purchase of these options, is not yet known. «We are working together with the corresponding authorities,» he said.

However, he added, «we have been selling capacities and people ensure their transfer and that speaks of how much the family is interested in Popular Camping.»

In the case of Faro de Maya he insisted on the usual service of tents that the base offers, especially for the space it occupies in a nature privileged by its waters.

The Parque Turístico La Arboleda is also in the portfolio of options, a star product distinguished, as is logical, by its high demand, a consequence of the sustained management of its directors and the professionalism of its employees.

The director of Campismo Popular in the province said that in a context where supplies are scarce, they have joined forces with different economic actors to look for a variety of foods that will satisfy customers in this Summer with Love.

The origins of  Popular Camping in Cuba date back to May 1981, but in the province of Matanzas the experience began in 1982, characterized by the wide range of nature tourism products and the richness of historical sites.
