Agricultural contracting process to begin in Pedro Betancourt (+audio)

With the objective of guaranteeing food sovereignty and the nutritional balance of the population by the year 2024, the contracting process of agricultural and forestry production in the municipality of Pedro Betancourt will begin from November 1st to December 15th.

According to Oslay Díaz Pagés, Deputy Superintendent of Food of the locality, the productive bases will become the central axis of this process, whose execution will be developed in order to benefit producers, reduce prices and favor municipal self-sufficiency.

Likewise, Royslán Cámbara Sosa, first secretary of the Party in the territory, highlighted the endogenous resources of the town, as well as the need to materialize this process to ensure our food sovereignty and nutritional security.

In the current complex socioeconomic context, the participation of all the actors involved is urgently needed to achieve the efficiency of the contracting process and, consequently, increase the quality and variety of products for the inhabitants of Pedro Betancourt.
