Health services are brought to rural communities of Los Arabos.

Health workers in Los Arabos municipality carry out health interventions in intricate settlements of the territory such as Los Mangos, Las Brisas, Campo Alegre, Aguedita and other communities.

The objective of these actions is to contribute to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants and to salute the 70th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes garrisons, by bringing them the services of Stomatology, Internal Medicine, Rehabilitation, Clinical Laboratory, Antivectorial Campaign, among other specialties.

According to the Municipal Director of Health in Los Arabos, Dr. Orlando Zambrano Fernández, these tours of the specialists are accompanied by educational talks on maternity and other topics, active screening for prostate and oral cancer in at-risk populations, while reactivating the tetanus vaccination.

Every week, the delegation goes to these remote areas with basic services, providing health care for all the inhabitants of the westernmost municipality of the province of Matanzas.
