National Occupancy Survey conducted in Pedro Betancourt (+audios).

With the purpose of determining the particularities of employment in order to encourage the subsequent development of public policies, the National Employment Survey began at the beginning of this month.

Promoted by the National Statistics and Information Office, this exercise will provide a socio-demographic and territorial characterization of the nation, whose data will take into account indicators such as the number of people working, their age, skin color, province and educational level, among other aspects of interest.

This was communicated to our radio station by Sandra Torriente Peñalver, director of the Municipal Statistics Office of Pedro Betancourt.

Likewise, Torriente Peñalver said that the survey will have as its universe the urban and rural areas of each municipality and province of the country and emphasized the preparation of the relevant personnel and the need for the collaboration of those surveyed to achieve the effectiveness of the exercise.

Materialized since the 80’s in the Island, the National Occupation Survey becomes an incentive to promote the execution of concrete public decisions by the Ministries of Labor and Social Security and Economy and Planning, which guarantee the quality of life and welfare of the Antillean population.
