Political and governmental authorities of the province and of this territory of Matanzas gathered to evaluate the fulfillment of the municipal strategy for the economic, political and social development of this locality.

In her speech, Susely Morfa González, first secretary of the provincial Party, highlighted the favorable indicators of the territory, the importance of maintaining preventive work and attention to vulnerable families, the quality of services provided to the Betancoureña population and the preparations for the upcoming anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, among other issues.

Likewise, Mario Sabines Lorenzo, governor of the province, underscored the need to promote municipal self-sufficiency and the work of renovating the town, in addition to the process of bankarization.

With an integrating vision, the strategy comprises four fundamental lines whose programs prioritize food production, sovereignty and security, the elaboration of construction materials and the use of water and energy, as well as industrial, social and habitat development in the municipality.
