Preparatory workshop on Popular Power held in Pedro Betancourt.

With the premise of improving the system of People’s Power in the country and the work of its members, a training workshop was held at the Félix Varela elementary school of the Bolondrón People’s Council in the municipality of Pedro Betancourt.

The activity was advised by Yamilet Aldama Oviedo, president of said Council, who addressed the content of Law 132 of 2019, related to the organization and operation of the Municipal Assemblies of People’s Power and the People’s Councils, while stressing the need for its study and observance.

Likewise, Aldama Oviedo recognized the main advantages of this prescription, pondered the constant exchange that must prevail between delegates and their constituents and urged to strengthen the preparation and responsibility of the relevant authorities, in order to guarantee the optimal exercise of their functions and the participatory nature of our democracy.

The training workshop was then another opportunity to clarify the doubts of those present regarding the role of the local organs of the People’s Power and, consequently, to contribute to the improvement of community work for the benefit of the population.
