UNEAC celebrates Day for Cuban culture.
The 16th Nelson Barrera In Memoriam Film, Radio and Television Encounter continues the activities of the Day for Cuban Culture at the UNEAC Social House in Matanzas.
The event, which will begin this Tuesday in two working sessions, promotes the production of audiovisual materials in the province among film club members and independent filmmakers, while reaffirming the strong movement between established and new exponents of an art form that has aesthetic codes combined with a high degree of effort and personal talent.
The Peña La rumba soy yo with Los Muñequitos de Matanzas will also be held at the big house on Milanés Street, also on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., hosted by Mamita de León.
On the 18th, the Poetry Wednesday will take place at 2:00 pm under the aegis of the award-winning writer Alfredo Zaldívar, director of the Matanzas publishing house and winner of the National Publishing Prize.
And on the 20th, at 6:00 pm, the popular Peña Tarde de Jazz with the trio Mestizaje, led by the famous percussionist Miguel Rodríguez Zulueta, Miguelón, who honors Cuban music with the participation of guests, among them young students of the Professional School of Music.
