During its years of activity, it not only promoted excellence on the diamond, but also reinforced the sense of identity and community through baseball. We spoke with Emilio Morales Álvarez, historian of the Héctor Mederos Argüelles Sports Museum of this territory, who highlighted the impact of the league and the commitment and dedication of its members in the development of such an identifying sports discipline on the island.

The Pedro Betancourt Amateur Baseball League survives as an essential exponent to understand the evolution of the sport in the largest Antillean Island.
