Big party in the Matanzas UNEAC dedicated to Fidel

Spanish artists who gave their art to children in the UNEAC

The provincial committee of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) in Matanzas joined their counterparts from all over the country with a big party dedicated to the 88th birthday of Fidel, that got together professionals and amateurs of all forms of art this August 13th. Based in the community center of the organization, the party was  opened with activities dedicated to children, by children’s sociocultural projects that belong to the Exchange Center and reference-Community Initiative (CIERIC), a center of associative nonprofit linked the UNEAC. Two Spanish artists ,who also took part in the national event Circuba joined the dances, songs and stories of toddlers,  along with the staff of Barquito de papel television program , with its director Jesús del Castillo and its star Fara Madrigal (Maravilla  little clown) . As an initiative of the Radio, Film and Television Subsidiary of Matanzas UNEAC, the announcer Oliverio Aballí joined the meeting, who declaimed poems  dedicated to the Cuban leader and also Romance de la Niña Mala ( Romance of the Bad Girl) by Raul Ferrer . The morning, which was attended by nearly one hundred participants with a giant closed picake dedicated to Fidel, as reported by Radio 26, the organizer of the cultural program, Rafael Ribot Mendoza. At noon the group of metals Athens Brass featured a mini-concert, as a prelude to his presentation Friday at the movie theater Cardenas, flag city. In the afternoon a sample of images from photojournalist Juan Segui, recreating moments Fidel visits to Matanzas at different stages of revolutionary Cuba was inaugurated. He was also open personal exhibition of paintings by Armando Abel Rodriguez, president of the Plastic Arts Subsidiary of the UNEAC, and a group show of Matanzas artists, among them stands out Manuel Hernandez. The day was propitious to José Alberto García, president of the UNEAC in Matanzas, who publicly manifest the rejection of Matanzas artists to the killing of Palestinians taking place in Gaza . The night ended with a blast near the fountain in the courtyard of the house of social UNEAC by the vocalist Narciso Suarez, who invited two musicians  from Matanzas Rafael Llorens and Alfonso Aranda.
