Commander José Ramón Machado Ventura verifies the province’s productive indicators.

 

To increase food production to meet the growing needs of the population in the province of Matanzas called on Wednesday Commander José Ramón Machado Ventura during an exchange with representatives of agriculture, led by Susely Morfa González, first secretary of the Party in the territory, and Marieta Poey Zamora, vice governor.

Machado was interested in the coconut plantation program, the conservation of its water, as well as the export of the by-products of that crop, which has four nurseries and 14 producers selected for the planting of postures as a guarantee of the hectares to be planted in 2024.

 

Regarding the production of honey and its derivatives, the province is stockpiling more than 900 tons of this exportable product and 45 tons of pollen are expected to be stockpiled, it was reported during the working visit.

In order to face the current difficulties, Machado Ventura urged the leaders of the agricultural sector of Matanzas to look for alternatives and better ways to advance in their plans.

 

The First Secretary of the Party in Matanzas urged the directors of the sector to comply with the sowing and production plans, to increase the control and fight against crime and illegalities that affect this organism.
