On November 7th, Matanzas begins a new campaign in Cuban baseball, this time in the second Elite League, a classification earned after finishing fourth in the last 62nd National Baseball Series.
The Matanzas Crocodiles have been in the news since the selection of reinforcements last Thursday, September 21st, and even before that, since manager Armando Ferrer gave the go-ahead to Rusney Castillo, a player with very good performance and experience in the Major Leagues.
In addition to the reinforcements, Matanzas once again presents a competitive team.
The goal of Ferrer and his pupils is clear: to become champions in the second version of the Elite Baseball League in Cuba. To do so, they must pass the regular stage from November 7th to December 25th and then the play offs, scheduled to be played in January 2024.
Matanzas will face Las Tunas, Industriales, Santiago de Cuba, Artemisa and Sancti Spíritus.
