Every August 2nd, the Greater Antilles hosts the celebration of the Graphic Workers’ Day as an ode to the work and contributions of these professionals to the progress of our society.

The celebration pays tribute to the outstanding trade union leader and martyr of the sector, Alfredo López Arencibia, who was born on the same date, but in 1894, and becomes an incentive to honor those who, from the printing, design and conservation of documents and cultural works, contribute to the instruction and safeguarding of the historical memory of the nation.
