Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization, began this afternoon a working visit to the Lenin agricultural and livestock company in Jovellanos municipality of Matanzas.
Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization, began a working visit this afternoon to the Lenin Agricultural and Livestock Enterprise in this municipality of Matanzas.
The entity has a patrimony of 2,500 hectares of arable land, 50 percent of which is under irrigation and in which six Credit and Service Cooperatives and five Basic Cooperative Production Units participate.
Considered by Carlos Luis Naranjo, delegate of Agriculture in Matanzas, the Lenin is a company that emerges economically, with deliveries in the order of 15 thousand tons of agricultural products per year, 250 tons per month to supply the municipality and resumes production in covered cultivation houses, with a view to export.
Morales Ojeda, accompanied by the highest political and government authorities of Matanzas, inquired about the efficient use of irrigation in the plantations of various crops and about details of the crops being harvested.
