«In 2025 the Matanzas jurists will still be in combat».
Working more to achieve membership growth, strengthening municipal structures and law chapters; increasing legal refresher courses and active participation in tasks of social impact, are among others the main objectives for 2025.
This was stated by university professor and Doctor in Political Sciences Osvaldo Manuel Alvarez Torres in an interview he gave to Radio 26 to summarize the work carried out during the past year by the Matanzas branch of the National Union of Jurists of Cuba (UNJC), as well as the main challenges of the organization in 2025.
The also member of the National Council of the UNJC, ratified the commitment of the legal professionals to continue supporting the process of normative construction of the country, the improvement of the approved laws and highlighted how the organization is consolidated in the fulfillment of its main work projections, especially its commitment to the defense of the institutionality and our socialist management model.
According to the prominent lawyer, stimulating and promoting the participation of law students and young lawyers in activities, mainly training and legal updating, is a priority for the UNJC in Matanzas, an organization that today groups more than 700 professionals and for the better performance of its work, has several Scientific Societies according to the different disciplines of law.
