International Congress on Childhood and Adolescence «Growing into the Future» has started.

The first International Congress on Childhood and Adolescence «Growing into the Future», organised by the Centre for Youth Studies, will take place until  June 2nd at the Plaza America Convention Centre in Varadero.

The event, framed in the celebrations for the International Day of Play and International Children’s Day, aims to share perspectives, experiences and challenges in the participation, care and welfare of children and adolescents from the fields of scientific work, creation and services.

The first secretary of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists tweeted confirming her presence at the event, which she defined as a perfect demonstration of the value for Cuba of those who know how to love.

Guests with recognised work oriented towards children and adolescents, such as Mónica Borile, from Argentina; and María Isabel Domínguez García, Silvia Navarro Quintero, Roxanne Castellanos Cabrera, Francisca Cruz Sánchez and Iván Barreto Gelles, from Cuba.

With the presence of Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party and head of the Department of Attention to the Social Sector, and Aylín Álvarez García, first secretary of the National Committee of the UJC, the first International Congress on Children and Adolescents «Growing into the Future» began.
