The Yucayo Rum Business Unit is on its 100th anniversary of being positioned in the domestic and international markets with its excellent Yucayo rum.
The rum factory had its genesis in the Compañía Licorera Matanzas, founded in 1926. It soon became one of the leading companies of its kind in the country.
To give an idea of the progress of the prestigious brand, in the 1940s it had a production capacity of 400,000 liters of distilled alcohol per month and huge aging tanks.
The rest achieved in these cellars ensured a genuinely purified product, the necessary resting time and conservation to guarantee supreme quality and excellent bouquet.
Because of this characteristic, Yucayo rum was acclaimed and desired in the international market. From the Matanzas harbor, shipments were sent to different ports around the world, especially to the United States.
