Meliá Las Antillas nearing 25 years of age.

Activities of various kinds enliven the daily life of the managers and workers of the Meliá Las Antillas hotel, a facility that is about to celebrate its first quarter century on March 1st, the date on which it was opened for tourism operations in 1999.

It is a month of celebrations, including not only the employees, but also the clients who choose our lodging for their enjoyment, Patricia Sánchez, secretary of the union bureau, told Radio 26 Estrella.

According to Sanchez, one of the most important moments of the birthday program is the tribute to those who have been working at the hotel since its foundation, and who are a true reference for the new incorporations.

Sports competitions such as billiards have already been held, as well as the 25th anniversary cocktail called Tónico de Rosa, the result of the innovative spirit of our people, said the union leader.

Sanchez highlighted the awarding of the commemorative plaque for the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Cuban Workers’ Central, granted to centers with outstanding economic results and linked to the Union.

Operated under a management contract by the Spanish chain Meliá and pro Cubanacán, Meliá Las Antillas stands out for a special concept of management of the labor force, to whom we also celebrate collective birthdays, stimulate them and take care of their personal problems, said Sánchez.

Standing out in the famous Playa Azul for the celebration of Cuban days, a space that highlights the traditions and symbols of the country, renovated in its structure, comfort and with a high occupancy rate, Meliá Las Antillas will receive the first of March.
