Sports events postponed in Cuba.

This Saturday, February 10th at 2:00 pm, the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) issued an official note regarding the existing fuel situation in the country and its impact on the development of sporting events.

The information posted on the organization’s official website is as follows:

Due to the complex situation the country is going through with the availability of fuel, the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder) has decided to stop the national events under development and postpone those related to soccer, cycling, softball, basketball and baseball, of all categories, which were scheduled for the next few days.

In view of a more favorable context for transportation, participants in the postponed events will be informed about the rescheduling of the sports calendar.

We are working to prevent the situation from affecting larger events such as the National Series #63, scheduled to begin on March 9.

As clarified in the note, INDER will inform about the rescheduling of sports calendars or new measures, prioritizing the athletes and organizations involved competitively.
