Ruta del Verano goes through towns in Cárdenas.
Recently, the Summer Route organized by the Municipal Directorate of Culture of Cardenas reached the villages of Merceditas, José Smith Comas and the community of El Castillito.
In these areas, far from the city, cultural presentations are held to offer healthy recreation and enjoyment to the neighbors.
Art instructors from the Casa de Cultura Gonzalo Roig, together with INDER and the Ateneo Concha de Venus bookstore, participated in this tour, which was received with great joy by the residents.
Yenisleydis Torres Ramidez, from the literature department of the House of Culture expressed the importance that the brigade of instructors attaches to this type of activities and how much satisfaction it causes to achieve smiles in infants.
She pointed out the need to get closer to the rural areas on a more continuous basis, due to the lack of recreational options that exist here. The children were the stars of this community party.
Children enjoyed games, dances, readings, puppets, book sales, sports performances, music and painting on the asphalt. With laughter and colors, the children welcomed the summer, which with love, reaches every corner of the country.
Bringing more activities to the most remote areas of the city, especially during the summer, is both a necessity and a right of the inhabitants.
Although everyone is aware of the complexity of the economic situation, they also demand healthy recreation that stimulates knowledge and is aimed mainly at children and young people.
Risbel Hernández Téllez, delegate of district 56 El Castillo, explained that in this community there is no place for entertainment, nor are cultural events frequent.
She showed concern about this problem, because when there is such a shortage, the young people look for other options to make up for it, sometimes not the right ones.
The Summer Route does not conclude yet, other towns surrounding the City of First Fruits will be added, in order to give everyone an unforgettable vacation.
