To prioritize care for more than 1,000 pregnant women in Matanzas.

The stability in the sale of agricultural products, the fight against illegalities, primary attention to pregnant women and the recreational activities planned for the summer were the main topics discussed during the Provincial Government Council.

«In Matanzas we have 1,200 pregnant women and we have to take care of them. If they have a dirt floor, we have to throw it out, look for a toilet module, look for food and get the doctors to follow them and that is lacking. It is true that we have dedicated time, but we are still lacking,» said Mario Sabines Lorenzo, governor of the territory.

During the meeting, the need for the province to achieve greater stability in the gastronomic offerings for the summer came to light. It is essential to place more points of sale, with affordable prices, around beaches and recreational places for the enjoyment of the Matanzas family.

Sabines Lorenzo also highlighted the work of 600 farmers brigades created in the province to combat the crime of slaughtering cattle, an index that has decreased discreetly, but still insufficient for the amount of illegalities that persist today in the province.

At the end of the meeting, the first secretary of the Party in the province, Susely Morfa González, referred to the arduous construction work being carried out in the neighborhood located on the southern bank of the San Juan River, with the aim of urbanizing the area, transforming it and providing the inhabitants with better living conditions, as part of the actions planned for the 330th anniversary of the city.
