Matanzas chess players ready for National School Games.
The members of the Matanzas chess team are getting ready to start next Saturday the chess competitions in the National School Games in Villa Clara.
The provincial team is made up of two boys and two girls. The females are Carla María Catalán and Jade Zuaznábar, while the male team, first place in the Yumurinos Games of the University of Matanzas, is formed by Brayan Tápanes and Cristian Daniel González.
They will compete both in individual and team format. There will be nine rounds in the modalities of classical and fast rhythm.
According to statements made exclusively to this newspaper by Michel Iglesias Herrera, member of the technical commission, the preparation of the students is currently being carried out online.
There are several groups, technologies, websites and tools that this method offers them. However, they have the support of other players and Grand Masters of the territory.
