Turnat 2024 to showcase Cuba’s natural potentialities.

With six groups with photographic jeep safari activities, accessible and wellness life, trekking, farms, hiking and nautical activities, the program aims to captivate those who choose this option, which will be held in the provinces of Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Guantánamo.

This time, the 14th edition of the TURNAT 2024 International Nature Tourism Event will be held in eastern Cuba from September 24th to 29th and will once again showcase Cuba’s potential to make progress in this type of leisure activity, which is becoming more and more popular in the world.

The event will showcase the island’s strength and opportunity to develop nature, adventure and rural tourism, said Francisco Longino Franquiz Domínguez, commercial director and representative of ECOTUR travel agency.

It will be an opportunity «to motivate and encourage service providers to design recreational, educational and environmental culture products, using heritage, cultural and natural values, from a perspective of environmental sustainability,» he said.

According to what was announced, the most relevant Cuban event of leisure tourism will be inaugurated on the 24th, in Marea del Portillo, Pilon municipality, in the province of Granma, a site loved by tourists from Canada, Cuba’s main source market.

Thematic tours will be held from the 25th to the 28th, while the closing ceremony is scheduled for the evening of the 29th at the Meliá Santiago hotel, the last stop of TURNAT 2024, which is expected to receive participants from Spain, Canada, Colombia, Italy and Mexico, among other nations.
