Plastic artist Danny Daniel Perera Gutiérrez urged to preserve the Afro-Cuban traditions, cultural identity and idiosyncrasy of the nation through his exhibition «Whispers of the Black Gods», at the «María Villar Buceta» cultural center in the municipality of Pedro Betancourt.

At the exhibition, which included the display of various paintings and lyrical compositions, the author illustrated the literary work of Cuban-Canadian multidisciplinary artist Hebert Poll Gutiérrez, who emphasized the importance of safeguarding the socio-cultural heritage of our ancestors and, above all, of bringing their stories to present and future generations.

Perera Gutiérrez brought to the guests the best of the Afro-Cuban cultural heritage and traditions of the town.

Danny’s works of art are accompanied by different poems written by Hebert that reflect the transcendence of Afro-Cuban roots.
