Food production and the decrease in prices focused the attention of politicians, managers, representatives and local and provincial authorities in a crowded exchange held at the Cuba Theater of Pedro Betancourt municipality.
During the meeting, Mario Sabines Lorenzo, governor of the province, acknowledged the successes of the locality in terms of food production and commercialization, as well as the constant concern and interaction between the leaders and producers of the territory.

Similarly, Carlos Luis Naranjo Suárez, provincial delegate of Agriculture, said that in the complex socioeconomic context in which the country finds itself, the attention and monitoring of farmers are a priority for its highest authorities.

Other topics discussed were the application of the Law of Food Sovereignty and Security and Nutritional Education and the confrontation of high prices, cattle theft and slaughter and other illegalities that threaten the tranquility, security and welfare of the citizens.
The meeting was also headed by Luis Alberto Rodríguez Velázquez, member of the Provincial Committee of the Party in charge of the agri-food area and local leaders Hanny Martínez Martínez, First Secretary of the Party, Mayor Gladys Rodríguez López and Yonel Estrada Ramírez, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power.
