Anti-Covid Vaccination Schemes Updated in Matanzas

Since last May in the province of Matanzas, efforts have been focused on updating the anti-Covid-19 vaccination schedule for pregnant women and mothers of children under two years of age.

The head of the Vaccination Program in Matanzas, Dr. Lissy Vega Rodriguez, said that they complete the scheme or administer a booster dose to pregnant women to protect them during pregnancy and childbirth.

Vega assured that in the case of children up to two years of age, the Abdala or Soberana 02 and Plus vaccines are administered, and children up to 18 years of age continue to receive the booster.

In the territory of Matanzas, the administration of booster doses for the adult population over 19 years of age and the third one for risk groups and workers of Tourism, Public Health and Education is also progressing.
