The securing of the electric power supply, the conclusion of the perimeter fencing of the temporary facilities and the driving of 1,18 piles, determine the progress of the Hoyo Colorado photovoltaic solar park, Pablo Santana, a member of the provincial Party Bureau, posted on his Facebook account.
The check of the work allowed to verify the progress of the strategic investment, executed in the municipality of Marti, the second of three approved for this western province, where months before the construction of the Jovellanos II photovoltaic solar park had already begun and a third one will also operate in the territory of Colon.
At the 22nd Provincial Conference of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba, the first secretary of the Party, Mario Sabines Lorenzo, called for eliminating the subjective aspects that hinder a greater pace of these works, which are expected to be of high quality and completed on schedule.
The Hoyo Colorado plant will have an installed capacity of 21.87 megawatts, the same as that of its predecessor, according to statements made by Israel Prado, head of investments of the Electric Company.
